Better Bricks For This Wall

My face won’t fall, all is tall and I’ll be lookin up,
have enough, take it tough, get set and sip another cup,
take a space inside your mind to find a friendly thought and spit it out,
shout it if it helps it gets attention to karmatic doubt,
chromatically my fingers fall to strings and linger just as long,
as I can stand my callouses so callous that they don’t blong,
but strong enough, they’ll put it up, like nails that hold together, tough,
might dirty up the hands, but better than the pointless endless stuff,
we’ll walk a road and verbal-herbally unload,
a feline friend around my neck inspecting strangers with a nose,
respect the different given those, misunderstandings just explode,
and we don’t need no education, please just leave those kids alone,
but  no it’s better mandatory learning, test these tots potential,
mention thoughts and drop ideas freely, evolution spins well,
talk of politics just sickens me, we see the situation,
happy nation takes a village, pillage, rape and then complain,
it’s all the same and sadly somehow we don’t see it,
key the car and queue me up we’ll drop the drums and I’ll repeat it,
respect the different given those, misunderstandings just explode,
and we need so much education, please don’t leave your kids alone,
a little different this time, don’t I know it, true things take their turns,
but still I burn to start these fires, still I yearn to feel the burn,
still I sit and still I wait, I wake up late and waste some hours,
shower later, write and smoke, a broken record losing power,
but these here grooves are set in ruts and ditches run so very deep,
the blood and oil, ink and paper, now and later, conscious keep,
ears are here for hearing, understanding’s in the brain,
but systematically connected, all important, all terrain,
Ollie-Ollie-oxen-free, we’re all in pain, restart the game,
take a second-hand perspective, sit on back, review the shame,
Are we ashamed? All in disdain? We should be sick with violent victory,
so we have bigger better guns, and futuristic weaponry,
congratulations, aliens will see us from afar,
we’re destroying all we have, now they’ll put us in a jar,
like insects flying blindly through, we do this to ourselves,
they’ll keep us safely locked away, in our custom prison cells,
which we designed for us, and we’re upset we get deleted,
like an out of focus picture, drop the drums and I’ll repeat it,
respect the different given those, misunderstandings just explode,
and we need all the education, don’t just leave those kids alone,
they need us now, much more than ever, clever now, a little more,
increasing exponentially and shoved down in a drawer,
unceremoniously, rushed as if concealing something,
they didn’t have faith in public interests being trusting,
and all the dirty grime and lusting, after money our power,
hours after gunning, sunning hungry on a tower,
now we’re fixed, and set to tricks to get, our dinner in a dog bowl,
shovel in the dirt like ants delivering a lost soul,
scramble after shambles representing broken dreams,
and we’ll be stumbling blind and listening to the echoes of our screams,
they form a pattern from the chaos almost orderly and timed,
and as the clocks chime, nerves jump stressed, sunset shines,
on my, old Kentucky soul as I read and write myself,
in and out of this hole, tortured heavenly as hell,
and just as well, we see the silent faces swell,
with hope that people die for, and gladly kill themselves,
give me something to believe in, a reason for a fetus,
like a world that doesn’t hate itself, drop drums and I’ll repeat it,
respect the different given those, misunderstandings just explode,
and we don’t need de-education, we’re just kids and we’re alone.
